The Nearby Area
At the edge of Surrey between Guildford and Horsham, Alfold has some lovely footpaths and bridleways if you want to venture further.
Near to Springbok is Sydney Woods, an excellent Foresty Commission area to explore with car parking facilities.
Running through the woods, and on to Loxwood is the Wey and Arun Canal that is gradually being restored by the Wey and Arun Canal Trust. The old towpath provides an excellent walk through gorgeous countryside to Loxwood with the option of a pint at the Onslow Arms if you're getting thirsty.
Alfold is also neighbour to Dunsfold Park where many events run throughout the year including the very successful Wing and Wheels.
